About
After several years of teaching drums in Rome, musical studies deepened through a two-year program at the London School of Music, with a focus on rhythm, composition, and performance. This period marked a turning point, reinforcing a creative direction rooted in original work and collaboration.
Early projects began with an original band in Rome, eventually evolving into The Silent Parade—an alternative rock band based in London, co-created by vocalist and guitarist Iain Hastie and currently touring the UK and recording its debut LP.
In 2024, DAWK was born out of a meeting with the composer and multi-instrumentalist Neil Sharkey, driven by a shared desire to delve deeper into sonic experimentation and interdisciplinary practice. The collective is dedicated to polyrhythmic research and sound exploration.
Over the past decade, performances have spanned Italy, Switzerland, and the UK, often in spaces that support artistic freedom and innovation. In 2018, this commitment to independent music culture led to the creation of Crash Roma, a live music venue focused on jazz and alternative scenes. As founder and artistic director, the venue has become a platform for cultural exchange and emerging talent.
